One of the co-founders of ComTrust, Larry is recognized as a pioneer in the early days of the competitive telecommunications business. He began his career in 1980 as founder and president of one of the nation's first discount long distance firms, growing its revenues to more than $360 million within three years of its start-up. A self-described “serial entrepreneur,” he founded and has led three other telecommunications firms, as well as, serving on numerous boards and industry association committees. Over the past 20 years, he has written several industry white papers and various reports.
Ken Mayger, who ensures the accuracy and dependability of ComTrust’s data and systems, began his software development career in 1989 while in the Air Force. He graduated from Troy State University in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in computer information science. Since leaving the military in 1992, he has worked as a developer, systems architect, team manager and independent consultant with companies such as CACI Inc., Disc Inc., Harbinger Corporation, Magnet Communications, Servantis Systems Inc., Check Free Corporation, FundTech and US Cost. Ken has been involved with a wide range of software projects, including police automation systems, aircraft cargo loading systems, Electronic Data Interchange software, graphical interfaces for drafting tools and a number of different corporate cash management software programs used by the banking industry.
In addition to serving as a key member of the ComTrust management team, Mr. Lyons has been engaged in the general practice of law since 1970. Before entering the legal field, he was an electrical engineer and systems manager for AT&T and Scientific Atlanta. His law practice concentrates in the areas of business transaction representation, contracts, real estate and alternative dispute resolution. Boyd has broad experience in the trial and settlement of a variety of civil cases, as well as extensive experience in contract law and transactional matters. He has also served as Executive Director of a large international nonprofit organization and president of a charitable foundation.
